Pay Level: Assistant Professor: AL-10
Pay Level: Associate Professor: AL-13A

Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Physics with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale system) from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
NET/SET/SLET: The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar accredited state level test like SET/SLET.
Ph.D. Degree: Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC Regulations (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D.) are exempt from the requirement of the NET/SET/SLET minimum eligibility condition.
Ph.D. Standards: For direct recruitment or contractual positions requiring a Ph.D., the doctorate must typically be evaluated by at least two external examiners, include a conducted viva-voce, and be supported by research publications (usually at least two full papers in refereed journals) from the candidate's doctoral work.
Ph.D. Degree: An earned doctorate in Computer Science or an allied/relevant discipline.
Academic Record: A Master’s degree in Computer Science, MCA, or a relevant branch with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade point average).
Teaching/Research Experience: A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a university/college or research experience in a reputed research institution/industry. (Note: General UGC norms specify 10 years of experience as an Assistant/Associate Professor).
Research Publications: A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
Research Score: A minimum total research score as per the API (Academic Performance Indicator) criteria stipulated in AMU/UGC guidelines.
